Rowan Baylosis

Rowan Baylosis has worked across a diverse range of professional fields, including landscape architecture, national parks research, and historic preservation. Prior to current work, Baylosis served as a GIS Specialist and Planner at Stromberg/Garrigan & Associates, a nationally recognized urban design firm focused on brownfields development and coastal resilience. While in that role, Baylosis managed geospatial projects for clients such as the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality Brownfields Office, the Pennsylvania State Historic Preservation Office (PA-SHPO), and the Central Virginia Planning District Commission (CVPDC).

Baylosis has developed specialized expertise in creating online geospatial tools designed to support data-driven decision-making for communities and planning officials. Baylosis earned a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Old Dominion University in 2023.

Baylosis is a Fellow of the Wilder Graduate Scholars Fellowship, a competitive program that places top full-time master’s students with host employers across the Richmond region.
