Research Institute ForSocial Equity

Tivoli Dabney serves as the Executive Assistant to the Research Institute for Social Equity (RISE).  She brings several years of experience in client relations, event planning, budgeting, scheduling, and supporting the administrative needs of executives, directors, and large teams.   

Dabney is a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and also holds memberships with the Project Management Institute (PMI), the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP), and Toastmasters International.  Dabney also serves on the VCU Staff Senate, the University Events Council, SGMP, and the One VCU Sustainability Plan Advisory Committee.

Prior to joining VCU and the Research Institute for Social Equity, Dabney worked for VCU Health in the Medical Staff Services department, where she served the administrative needs of credentialing staff, the director, and hospital administration.

In her spare time, Dabney enjoys spending quality moments with her family, traveling, and engaging in acts of kindness to help others. She has a deep passion for mental health, particularly within marginalized communities. Reading and learning are also activities she cherishes, reflecting her commitment to personal growth and understanding.
